DeutschCOBI caught the Shermania and released another 1:48 scale Sherman. However, it only differs in very few parts from its predecessor.

Instructions
No construction phases are required for the 300 components of the Sherman, so that all bags are opened directly. On average, 6 components are installed per construction step, which means that we have a total of 50 construction steps. If you don’t allow yourself to be distracted, you can build the model in under an hour. The presentation of the instructions is as usual. Grayed out construction steps provide a good overview.
Construction
The construction starts completely different from what we are used to from other tank models. Bricks are used as the basis, which are connected via Plate Modified for the rollers. Only now are the first pure plates used. The front and rear are built separately from a few parts and fixed by further building the hull. This is then widened with several plates.
With different slopes we ensure the typical shape of the Sherman in the next steps. Then the rollers are used, but here they are more like wheels. The smallest tracks are used for the chains. This Sherman does not run on smooth surfaces either, as we are used to from most other Sherman. But the tracks run very well on paper and do not need any pressure.
A small base with a reversal of the construction direction is being built for the turret. Separately built side armor is attached to it. A printed hatch and antenna are the only decorative elements. The barrel consists of a single bar and is attached using C-clamps.
Conclusion:
The series must be complete. That’s the only reason I still bought this model. It already exists in an almost identical form. Only at the stern there are 2 tracks, while on the other model there is a bar at this point. If you own the predecessor, you don’t need to buy this model. It’s time for something new. There are still many historical models that have not yet been built.
