COBI 4841 – Battleship Bismarck (Speed Build Review)

Change language to: de_DE Deutsch

This Bismarck is already the third version that I am building. Don’t expect great innovations, but more details and prints shouldn’t be scoffed at either. In the video I compare all versions.

Construction

As usual, we build the ship in several stages. First the bow is built and then the stern. Except for the middle section, these are almost complete when fused. The connection is then reinforced with plates and bricks and the area that is still open is covered and tiled. Up to this point, the structure differs only slightly from the previous models. Basically, the deck structures differ only in details and especially the colors. Much more white and also a little yellow are used. The guns have also changed and are closer to the original. The inner turrets get red barrels this time.

There are now two different lifeboats on the deck. On the one hand the well-known, large models and on the other hand somewhat smaller boats. The construction of the drive is a little less filigree here and no longer breaks off as quickly if you tackle the wrong places. The stand is nothing new and COBI relies on the proven version of the predecessor.

Conclusion:

The new Bismarck is a great ship for all new customers. But if you already own a predecessor, you don’t necessarily have to buy the successor, even if it looks much smarter with its large-scale imprints. Unfortunately, the price has also been adjusted significantly upwards.
