COBI 2992 – Renault FT 1920 Victory Tank (Speed Build Review)

Change language to: de_DE Deutsch

WW1 features far fewer motorized units than WW2. The Renault FT had the greatest influence on the course of the war and therefore belongs in every collection.

Construction

A base of plates in the actual sense does not exist with this model. Instead, we build several modules, which are then combined to form the hull. A lot of building direction reversal is used here. Small chain links can be linked for the rear, which is of course a lot of fun.

Despite the small dimensions, there is no lack of small details that are attached to the sides. The chains are made from the smallest tracks that COBI has to offer. They don’t do particularly well on slippery surfaces. But as soon as you use something rougher like a piece of paper, they perform excellently. The turret is tiny and built with few parts. A number of printed parts are also used here. Also included is a minifigure in a blue uniform and a small identification plate.

Conclusion:

The small model is cute and still offers plenty of details. Compared to its predecessor, it has a smaller scale and looks tiny. It should definitely not be missing in a collection.
