The next mini tank in this series is the Panzer III in the new dark gray. Here, too, COBI has achieved a good level of detail with just 286 parts.

Instructions

These assembly instructions also come in a small format. Although this model has a few more parts than the T-34, it takes 51 construction steps. Otherwise everything is as usual. New construction steps are colored and the rest are grayed out. At the end there is the now mandatory parts list.

Construction

We’ll start with some small plates that will form the base of the hull. With a few other components, we already have a complete hull with front, rear and the upper rollers.

In the next few steps we will add numerous tiles, some of which are printed, to cover the studs.

Now it’s time for the tracks, which run amazingly well on this small model. A little pressure is enough even on smooth surfaces. All that’s missing is the turret.

3062 vs 2523

As was already seen with the T-34, the size difference to the normal model is enormous. Based on the scaling, one hardly thinks that possible before the construction.

Conclusion:

The second model in this series also looks really great despite its size. In direct comparison to the large model, you can see the shape and details of the Panzer III very nicely.
