Construction
The entire hull of the submarine is built almost in one piece. The construction of the plates offers enormous stability. In contrast to old models, however, a not inconsiderable part is left out. In these we place the separately built machines. This makes it COBI’s first submarine to have at least a touch of interior. We would be happy to continue to pursue this approach in the future.
The hull is then covered with numerous slopes. The machine area has 4 separate components that are only attached to a few studs. This makes them easy to take off. The bridge is quite spartan and built quickly. After that, only smaller decorative parts are attached.
The stand has received a small but significant innovation. Thanks to 2 simple pins, the boat can be secured and no longer slips around on the stand.
Conclusion:
This model is clearly aimed at collectors. Apparently, COBI has noticed that the competition is quite successful with their products, which also have an inner workings. Even if there is hardly any space in a submarine of this scale, the machines were installed in the stern. This is how the interior of tank models started.
