Only recently there was a Marder III from COBI. Unlike the Sd.Kfz.138, this Sd.Kfz.139 comes licensed from Company of Heroes 3. This makes the set a bit more expensive as the licensor also wants to see some money.

The lower part of the hull consists of a solid block of plates and some bricks. The front and rear are built directly on the hull in one go. First we build the side extensions separately and then attach them to the hull. After some decorative elements have been attached, it’s the casters’ turn.
The smallest tracks that COBI has to offer are used for the chains. They don’t run at all on my acrylic board. But if you take some paper as a background, that changes completely. There they run almost as smoothly as butter and hardly need any pressure from above. Of course, this tank destroyer does not have a turret. Instead, side armor is built that includes a moveable opening for the gun barrel. Finally, a minifigure is built. There are no other accessories. A small nameplate, like you get on almost all models, would have been nice.
This model could easily have been classified in the Afrika Korps series. The Company of Heroes 3 license just makes it a few bucks more expensive. Otherwise it is a very nice set that deserves a place in my collection.
